                                 God our Father, by raising Christ your Son
                                 you conquered the power of death
                                  and opened for us the way to eternal life.
                                 Let our celebration today raise us up
                                 and renew our lives by the Spirit that is within us.
                                Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
                                who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
                                 one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

                             The Holy Rosary 

              

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day He rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Amen.

OUR FATHER, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, On earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

HAIL MARY, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death. Amen.

GLORY BE to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

Amen.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fire of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy.

Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. AMEN.

                                    

                          
                         SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

              St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
              Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
              May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou,
              O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
              thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits,
              who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen..

                                         GOD HELP US IN OUR NEEDS


                       O God of all mercies, our help in time of need.
                       Look upon me, your servant, who comes to you
                       Asking for comfort during this time of trial.
                       Give me patience under affliction, and a
                        Persevering hope, so I may stand strengthened
                        In faith and confident in your loving care.  Amen.

                            MAY HE BE MINDFUL OF ALL THY OFFERINGS,
                            AND ACCEPT THY BURNT OFFERING.

                           MAY HE GRANT THEE THY HEART'S DESIRE,
                           AND FULFILL ALL THY PLANS.

                            MAY WE REJOICE IN THE VICTORY, AND RAISE
                            BANNERS IN THE NAME OF OUR GOD;
                            MAY THE LORD GRANT ALL YOUR REQUESTS!

                           NOW I KNOW THE LORD HAS GRANTED VICTORY TO HIS ANOINTED,
                           THAT HE HAS ANSWERED HIM FROM HIS HOLY HEAVEN WITH
                           THE MIGHT OF HIS VICTORIOUS RIGHT HAND.

                           SOME TRUST IN CHARIOTS AND SOME IN HORSES,
                           BUT WE ARE STRONG IN THE  NAME OF THE LORD, OUR GOD.      

                           THEY HAVE TOTTERED AND FALLEN,
                            BUT WE STAND ERECT AND REMAIN.

                             O LORD, GRANT VICTORY TO THE KING,
                             AND ANSWER US, WHEN WE CALL UPON THEE. AMEN.

A Prayer for a Deceased Father

O God, who hast commanded us to honor our father and our mother; in Thy mercy have pity on the soul of my father, and forgive his his trespasses; and make me to see him again in the joy of everlasting brightness. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

 

 

 

Prayer for Mercy on the Souls in Purgatory

My Jesus, by the sorrows Thou didst suffer in Thine agony in the Garden, in Thy scourging and crowning with thorns, in the way to Calvary, in Thy crucifixion and death, have mercy on the souls in purgatory, and especially on those that are most forsaken; do Thou deliver them from the dire torments they endure; call them and admit them to Thy most sweet embrace in paradise.  Amen.                              

 

 

De Profundis

Out of the depths I cry to You, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice.
Let Your ears be attentive to my voice in supplication.
If You, O Lord, mark iniquities, Lord, who can stand?
But with You is forgiveness, that You may be revered.
I trust in the Lord; my soul trusts in His word.
My soul waits for the Lord more than sentinels wait for the dawn.
More than sentinels wait for the dawn, let Israel wait for the Lord,
For with the Lord is kindness and with Him is plenteous redemption;
And He will redeem Israel from all their iniquities. Amen.

 

 

Prayer for All the Deceased

By Thy resurrection from the dead, O Christ, death no longer hath dominion over those who die in holiness. So, we beseech Thee, give rest to Thy servants in Thy sanctuary and in Abraham's bosom. Grant it to those, who from Adam until now have adored Thee with purity, to our fathers and brothers, to our kinsmen and friends, to all men who have lived by faith and passed on their road to Thee, by a thousand ways, and in all conditions, and make them worthy of the heavenly kingdom. Amen.

 

 

Prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatory

O Lord, who art ever merciful and bounteous with Thy gifts, look down upon the suffering souls in purgatory. Remember not their offenses and negligences, but be mindful of Thy loving mercy, which is from all eternity. Cleanse them of their sins and fulfill their ardent desires that they may be made worthy to behold Thee face to face in Thy glory. May they soon be united with Thee and hear those blessed words which will call them to their heavenly home: "Come, blessed of My Father, take possession of the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." Amen.

Father, God of all consolation, in Your unending love and mercy for us You turn the darkness of death into the dawn of new life. Through Your Son, Jesus Christ, we ask You to deliver the souls in Purgatory, especially those for whom we now pray...

Welcome them into Your presence and bless them with eternal light and peace. Raise them up to live forever with all Your saints in the glory of the Resurrection. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

O God, Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the souls of our departed loved ones, the remission of all their sins, that by means of our pious supplications, they may obtain the joys of Heaven which they have ever earnestly desire. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.


O gentle Heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in Purgatory, have mercy on them.
Be not severe in Your judgments, but let some drops of Your Precious Blood fall upon the devouring flames.
And, Merciful Saviour, send Your angels to conduct them to a place of refreshment, light and peace.
Amen.


  Most loving Jesus, I humbly beseech Thee that Thou wouldst Thyself offer to Thine eternal Father, on behalf of the Holy Souls in Purgatory, Thy Most Precious Blood, which poured forth from the Sacred Wounds of Thine adorable Body, together with Thine agony and death.
And do thou likewise, O sorrowful Virgin Mary, present unto the Heavenly Father, together with the dolorous passion of thy dear Son, thine own sighs and tears, and all the sorrows thou didst suffer in His suffering, in order that, through the merits of the same, refreshment may be granted to the souls now suffering in the fiery torments of Purgatory, so that, being delivered from that painful prison, they may be clothed with glory in Heaven, there to sing the mercies of God for ever and ever.
Amen.
Absolve, O Lord, the souls of all the faithful departed from every bond of sin, that by Thy gracious assistance they may deserve to escape the judgement of vengeance and enjoy the blessedness of everlasting light.

O holy souls in Purgatory, Who are the certain heirs of heaven, Souls most dear to Jesus As the trophies Of his Precious Blood, And to Mary, Mother of Mercy, Obtain for me Through your intercession The grace to lead a holy life, To die a happy death And to attain To the blessedness Of eternity in heaven.
Dear Suffering Souls, Who languish in your Prison of pain And long to be delivered In order to praise And glorify God in heaven, By your unfailing pity Help me at this time,
